Brunswick 40.5 Coral Lacquer
A new expression of time from Fears
With the Brunswick 40.5 Jump Hour Coral Lacquer, Fears reimagines its signature cushion case with a playful complication and a bold injection of colour. This is not just the return of the Jump Hour — it’s its evolution.
At its core is the JJ01 movement, an automatic calibre built on the Sellita SW200 and developed in collaboration with Christopher Ward. A proprietary module enables the clean jump hour display at 12 o’clock, where time advances precisely, once per hour. The result is a clean, focused dial — no hour hand, just a single, sculpted minute hand sweeping around the glossy coral lacquer.
The hand-polished two-level dial is coated in a vivid coral tone, layered with depth and light. A white lacquer hour disc, printed in Fears’ bespoke Edwin typeface, sits behind a black PVD-coated window ring, anchoring the dial with contrast and sharpness. Around the edge, finely brushed chapter rings catch the light in alternating textures.
Housed in a 40.5mm cushion-shaped case — polished and brushed to a mirror sheen — the watch wears comfortably and confidently. The black PVD-coated minute hand is dual-finished for visibility in all lighting, echoing the visual contrast of the dial below.
A handmade strap in Himalayan buffalo leather, lined with soft blue Alcantara®, completes the watch with supple durability. The final detail: Fears’ custom pin buckle, engraved with the Cypher.
Assembled in Britain, and now sold out, the Brunswick 40.5 Jump Hour Coral Lacquer stands as a vibrant chapter in Fears’ 178-year story — one where heritage meets modernity in just one tick.
