Handcrafted enamel artistry from the heart of Denmark
In an era dominated by industrial production, Vitreum represents a return to craftsmanship in its purest form. Founded in Randers, Denmark, the independent atelier is dedicated to one of watchmaking's most demanding decorative arts: grand feu enamel. Producing only a small number of watches each year, Vitreum has established itself as a distinctive voice for collectors who value authenticity, artistry, and meticulous handcraft over mass production.
Inspired by a desire to create honest, tangible objects, founder Kasper Reisner set out to build a watch brand where the dial would become the true centerpiece. Rather than following trends or relying on historical nostalgia, Vitreum embraces traditional enamelling techniques, creating richly textured grand feu enamel dials on hand-engraved sterling silver bases. Every dial is crafted in-house by the brand's dedicated enamellers, ensuring that no two watches are ever exactly alike.
The result is a collection that celebrates both Scandinavian restraint and centuries-old artisanal craftsmanship. From the elegant FH01 to the brand's evolving enamel creations, each watch combines refined proportions with remarkable depth and luminosity, allowing the ever-changing character of fired enamel to become the defining feature of every timepiece. Rather than chasing complexity, Vitreum focuses on perfecting one of horology's most beautiful crafts.
Today, Vitreum continues to produce exceptionally small numbers of handcrafted timepieces, each assembled by skilled craftspeople and distinguished by its individually created enamel dial. The result is a collection of watches that reflects patience, precision, and an unwavering commitment to preserving one of the rarest artistic traditions in contemporary independent watchmaking.
