The Virtuoso
The master who forged time with fire and soul.
Master Qian Guobiao is one of the most revered artisans in contemporary Chinese watchmaking. A true pioneer of independent horology in China, his work blends traditional Chinese aesthetics with intricate mechanical innovation—resulting in timepieces that are as spiritually profound as they are technically advanced.
With a background in micro-mechanics and a lifelong passion for metallurgy, Master Qian began his journey by restoring vintage watches and soon transitioned into designing and crafting entire movements by hand. What sets him apart is his relentless pursuit of perfection—each component is hand-finished, and every timepiece reflects hundreds of hours of labor, study, and artistic devotion.

What sets him apart is his relentless pursuit of perfection—each component is hand-finished, and every timepiece reflects hundreds of hours of labor, study, and artistic devotion.
In 2018, Master Qian introduced one of his most iconic creations: a fully hand-made tourbillon with a unique hand-hammered finish, reflecting the wabi-sabi beauty of imperfection and individuality. His work often incorporates Chinese calligraphy, philosophy, and cultural symbolism—turning watches into expressions of national heritage and personal identity.
Operating on a small scale and outside of mainstream commercial systems, Master Qian Guobiao’s timepieces are produced in extremely limited quantities. Each watch is a rare fusion of mechanics, craftsmanship, and cultural storytelling—made not for mass appeal, but for collectors who value authenticity, artistry, and the human touch behind each tick of the hand.
